From 5 to 7 November 2025, the Sixth Meeting of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) Vaccine Producers is being held in Şanlıurfa, Türkiye. The event is organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) within the framework of the Global Strategy for the Control and Eradication of PPR (PPR-GCES). Representing the Institute at this meeting are: S. Sh. Nurabayev – Deputy Director General for Production; E. A. Bulatov – Head of the “Microorganism Cultivation Technologies” Laboratory; D. S. Toktyrova – Senior Laboratory Assistant, “Microorganism Cultivation Technologies” Laboratory.
The meeting brings together the world’s leading vaccine manufacturers, representatives of state veterinary services, research institutes and international organizations. The participants discuss priority areas of cooperation.
The main goal of the meeting is to unite the efforts of the global veterinary community to implement the plan for the complete eradication of PPR by 2030. This represents an important step towards enhancing food security, promoting sustainable agricultural development, and improving the well-being of rural communities around the world.
