International cooperation

  • Construction and equipment at the NIIIPBB of the Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory with the support of the Threat Reduction Agency of US Department of Defense (DTRA)
  • The entry of RIBSP into the World Federation of Cultural Collections (WFCC);
  • Acceptance of RIBSP in the International Consortium for the Control of the Spread of Avian Influenza;
  • With financial support from the Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defense (DTRA), the Institute is completing the construction of a laboratory that meets the level of biosafety (BSL-3) for conducting research work with especially dangerous infectious pathogens of viral and bacterial etiology;
  • Active regional participation of RIBSP in the implementation of the mission of the International Center for the Improvement of Wheat and Corn (SIMMYT) in the field of phytopathology;
  • Collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the development of influenza vaccines against highly pathogenic influenza A/H5N1 and A/H1N1;
  • Participation in the WHO Project on technology transfer of influenza vaccine production to developing countries;
  • Joint projects with the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Civil Research and Development Foundation (CRDF);
  • Collaboration with Aeras (a subsidiary of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USA); MRIGlobal, USA; Research Institute of Influenza of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on the project “Development of manufacturing technology and the conduct of clinical trials of a vaccine for the specific prevention of tuberculosis.”
