The developers of the Kazakh coronavirus vaccine QazVac gave their received Al-Farabi State Prize to charity.
The State Prize in the field of science and technology for 2021 was awarded to scientists of the Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems. The amount of remuneration is 18 million 600 thousand tenge. However, the staff of the Research Institute decided to dispose of the money not for their own purposes, but to direct it to charity. With the funds received, houses were purchased for residents of the village of Otar who need housing.
“We want citizens to start believing that doing good things is possible without any personal gain, except for a sense of high civic duty and mutual assistance,” reported the developers of the Kazakh vaccine QazVac. Today, the keys of the houses were handed to a large family and a family of disabled people in the presence of public figures, elders and the leadership of the Kordai district.
